  • The systems we live within do not benefit the many, they benefit the few. In order for the world to become a more equitable place, the systems need to change. The only way those systems will budge is if the many work together and apply pressure to shift and reshape the systems.

    But there are so many forces discouraging us from taking action — overwhelm, exhaustion, complicated processes… That is why I want to create a place where it FEELS GOOD to get informed and start to use our power productively, in community with others who also believe in the possibility of a world where we all can thrive.

  • While I do have a point of view and it will probably be pretty clear in my content, truth is important to me and I’m not going to sacrifice the truth to serve a narrative.

    The internet isn’t always kind to nuance, but I think grappling with nuance is necessary because the world isn’t simple. I’m not a hot takes girlie. I’m not an internet fights girlie. If you try to start a fight in my comments, I’m probably going to DM you and ask you to get on a call to have a real conversation so I can better understand where you’re coming from. (Unless you are a troll, in which case I will ignore you.)

    I dig into the things that are important to me and my community, and if I find out later on that I got something wrong I will make a correction.

    I do my best to cite my sources and explain how I came to certain conclusions. I am a big fan of the work of traditional journalists and always want to make sure they get the credit they deserve!

  • If I am being paid to create content, I will disclose that.

    I only publicly support candidates, campaigns, and policies that I can actually stand behind and would never advocate for anything I did not truly believe in.

  • I have been collecting the stories of Texas women, queer folks, and Texans of color who achieved incredible progress under even more challenging circumstances. They give me hope, inspiration, and evidence that change is possible here.
